We live in a world of perceived perfection.
Where being different is okay for them but not us.
It's like we're being watched and judged at all times. Not to mention the inner criticism and judgment that is often harsher than that coming from others.
It feels like your entire life is on display; it can be crippling to show up as your authentic self and put your all into your hopes and dreams, especially when you lack support from your core.
Your core is the people you feel should support you no matter what. Oftentimes, these are the people closest to us who although they mean well, their words can stunt your growth, confidence, and self esteem.
We want to be included and relatable, not the weirdo outcast that's shaking things up, because that… being different is scary.
Who will love me?
Who will support me?
Who will believe in me?
The gurus say, “fake it 'til you make it”.
But for an authentic heart-centered being, that can feel so out of alignment.
For those of us riddled with guilt, shame, and trauma of the past, that concept isn't always the best.
First, you have to believe in yourself and have the confidence and drive to walk towards your vision even when that path isn't clear.
When your nervous system, body, heart, and spirit are craving safety, security, and love, stepping into your authentic self can feel scary.
You may freeze, fawn, or run.
Doing it scared doesn't work when fear and surrender is your default. When you're used to allowing the fear to hold you, it's hard to walk with it.
One thing that I learned is creating and being a business owner is soul work. Even parenting is sacred work. All these things force us to heal, grow, and thrive.
I believe that our paths in life are shaped by evolutions that help us level up and evolve until we are able to be fully in our divine design, the person we were destined to be.
These are all common responses, and today I'd like to share some practical advice that helps me.
After a pretty difficult period in my life I went silent and pulled back. I threw myself in to school and getting my massage license, but when I was ready to return to my work I noticed I wasn't the same. I wasn't showing up like I used to.
I missed going live and recording videos for my YouTube channel, but I couldn't bring myself to get back into that rhythm of creation. I felt like an impostor and fraud.
Thinking who the hell am I to be on here talking about healing after I just had to pull myself back together piece by piece, again.
It's in those moments with tears rolling down my face that spirit reminds me of my mission and purpose which is to lead others through the storm to safety.
The trials and tribulations I face gave me the knowledge and experience I need to support others. That is my work as the Sacred Wellness Alchemist™ to turn pain, fear, and struggle into love and abundance.
Now back to the advice on building confidence:
Confidence and Action Are Connected
When you take steps towards your goals, you feel better about yourself. Every step you take is telling yourself that you are capable and worth the effort.
Each step is another building block to developing confidence in yourself and your vision. The more you show up, the stronger and more tangible it becomes.
Any successful athlete, creator, or business person started at zero. They had to work, building resilience, persistence, and belief in themselves to continue showing up and moving forward overcoming their fears and perceived limitations and failures.
Taking action, builds your confidence muscle. The more you do it, the better you become.
The more you sit and allow your thoughts or fears to overpower you, the more it robs you of your confidence.
That thing that you desire to do, the vision, the goal… was placed in you. It's yours by birthright and only you can walk the path to achieve it.
Yes… it's scary and not always easy. Once you start, you put one foot in front of the other and step by step you will eventually get there.
Remember, whenever you're doing something new you won't know what you are doing. But if you stop trying, you'll never learn. It takes consistent action over time to build confidence in a new skill.
With each effort, no matter how small, you're investing in yourself and paving the way for future successes. So take those bold steps forward; let them inspire not only your journey but also ignite the confidence within you!
Setting Goals with Soul to Guide Your Path
Goal setting changed my life.
When I couldn't focus I had to find something to give me structure. That's where my mantra “Life is all about Positive Forward Movement” came from.
I knew what I wanted and started using goals and success planning to help me get there.
The goal is the compass it shows you where True North is, the outcome you desire.
All the steps, actions, decisions you make should align with your True North.
I like to set soul aligned goals, meaning they are ones that I truly desire and I use spiritual tools to help me focus in on them. Spirit is always guiding us, having that soul level support helps me to anchor into what I'm doing.
There are so many different goal setting models: SMART Goals, Backward Goals, BHAGs, WOOP Goals, HARD Goals and so many others. Here's an article that shares 10 common methods, and another one that you may find helpful.
I have kind of structured my own method of goal setting that feels right and true for me. When it comes to setting goals find the method that works for you and use that.
Here's a quick overview on setting goals:
The key elements are being clear about what you wish to achieve, and breaking it down into actionable tasks. You then work on those tasks consistently, make adjustments as needed, and ultimately you achieve your goal.

Overcoming Fear and Resistance: Embracing Your Journey & Transformation
Now that you have decided to create this change in your life, the real work starts.
It's not you against them or even the goal, it's you VS. YOU.
Little you is the old you who doesn't want to change. Staying in the familiar comfort zone, even if it keeps you stuck or is unhealthy.
Big YOU is the version of yourself that you become as you stretch yourself and work towards your goals.
I've experienced this internal battle, and it's challenging. You are facing beliefs and limitations that no longer serve you, as you desire to create positive changes in yourself and your life.
This is where the fear and resistance come in, and what I shared at the bringing of this post on how confidence and action are connected.
You have to build confidence in the version of you that you're creating. You can do this by using a planner, journaling, affirmations, meditations, and other mindset work to help you begin to see yourself in a new light.
The more you challenge yourself and step out of your comfort zone, the less you will feel fear and resistance.
I think it's also important not to erase the little you, but bring yourself along. The more you're able to reassure yourself and avoid making excuses or putting things off, the more you’ll realize that change isn’t scary and trying new things is okay. This mindset really paves the way for you to develop into that bigger, better version of yourself.
Having the right support is super important, whether it’s a coach, a buddy to keep you accountable, a mastermind group, or even just some handy tools like a planner, EFT Tapping, or meditation. Whatever form it takes, having that support really helps you build a strong base to find success.
You know yourself better than anyone else. Part of the Goal Setting Challenge addresses obstacles. If you know the challenges, excuses, or blocks that you might face, you can plan ahead and have support in place to help you overcome them.
Celebrate Yourself Along the Way
I keep a success journal. The intention is to write down what I've accomplished each day.
You can do this weekly or daily. It helps because I can see the progress that I've made. When you have a big goal, it can be hard to see that you're making progress.
Keeping track of your progress, having milestones, and celebrating yourself keeps you focused and aware of your accomplishments. Each milestone you achieve, no matter how small, deserves recognition because it fuels your self-esteem and reinforces your confidence.
When you take a moment to recognize what you've achieved, you’re not just patting yourself on the back, but also setting yourself up for more wins in the future.
Think of celebrating milestones as an essential part of resilience training. It helps you develop persistence strategies that empower you to overcome obstacles with grace and determination.
When you look back at how far you've come, it helps you develop a mindset that embraces growth. This mindset makes it easier to keep improving and to adapt whenever you face tough situations.
As you implement action steps toward your goals, remember to celebrate each victory along the way. These little moments of recognition really change the way you think and push you ahead. They remind you that every step you take shows just how strong and dedicated you are.
Embrace this transformative power, and let it inspire you to keep pushing boundaries and striving for greatness!
