How My Wellness Journey Started
It started with me breaking down.
My wellness journey began with my mental health. After experiencing major depressive disorder, anxiety, and PTSD from domestic violence, I had to get my mind together.
My world felt fragmented.
I was disconnected from myself and so lost.
It was a dark and lonely time for me, but I made it.
Many of the practices I used to bolster my mental health were rooted in energetic and spiritual practices.
I learned that what we experience physically is rooted in the spiritual.
Body, Mind, Soul Connection
The fragmentation was a sign that I wasn’t living in alignment.
Practices like yoga and meditation helped me not only to ground myself, but reconnect with myself and calm my mind.
Yoga and meditation saved my life and initiated my work with energy and crystal healing.
Once my mental was stable, I focused on Positive Forward Movement. Working towards my goals, then my spiritual wellness and heart became the focus.
I explored and integrated Spiritual Love, healed the relationship with myself and others, then it was time for the next level…
Physical Wellness
THIS is where I’ve had the most resistance.
I’ve shared this before and as someone who was always active and energetic, seeing how I’ve changed over the years is a challenge.
But I’m not giving up.
I keep restarting and starting over as many times as I need to achieve my wellness goal as far as health is concerned.
Because I’ve experienced so much trauma, there are things anchored into my body that I’m focusing on up rooting.
The path to wellness is not linear, and it’s not always easy.
If you are feeling resistance to doing the things you know you need to do to better yourself, be gentle with you.
You are fighting against things you cannot imagine and it’s hard to do alone, but it is possible.
Take your time, get support, and trust the process. In time the little actions will add up to big changes.
Trust me I know, because that’s where I am.
The Right Mindset for Your Wellness Journey
I believe strongly in taking baby steps, and going through each stage step by step.
Have compassion and show yourself love as you work to meet a new version of yourself.
The old you is fighting to hold on to what’s known and comfortable. It takes effort, dedication, and consistency to create those new habits and rituals that will lead to your evolution.
Every day is a great day to START embracing your wellness as a sacred and essential part of your life, body, mind, & soul (& money).
I was inspired by my friend to challenge myself to a 100 day challenge.
I did a 21 day challenge last year that helped me shift so many things.
So I’m working on an expanded, next level version of that now: 100 Days of Sacred Wellness.
Let’s do it together!
