It's one of those nights where I can't sleep. What better way to spend time than doing something that I love.
The past few weeks, I've been working with the Magical Hours Tarot and I absolutely love this deck. This is the deck I chose to keep with me during this transition period. It reads soooo well. I've been using it for a 30 day challenge I'm doing in a Tarot group I'm part of and WOW… 🤯
Initially I was going to create a custom spread to interview the deck, but I chose to use the one I modified. You can find it here.
Here's what came up for me:
- Introduce Yourself – The World
The World represents completion, success, and advancing to the next level or journey. I love the image on this card that shows a figure growing out of a seed. I feel this deck is here to help me on the next evolution of myself, my life, and my spiritual journey as well. It arrived at a time of massive transformation.
I get the energy of rebirth and manifestation from this card as well.
The guidebook has a beautiful message about the seed being the fulfillment of a journey, and the plant that grows from it is the gift. “Step out of your comfort zone and into a new dimension.”
- Why have you come into my life? – 10 of Pentacles rx
This card flew out of the deck reversed and I think the message was just what I needed. Creating my 10 of Pentacles has been a top priority for me and I feel this deck is here to help me when it comes to manifesting my dreams.
I came across this deck as I was looking for decks that would be great for dreamwork. I already had a few and was curious to see what else was out there. When I saw this deck and looked at the art I knew it would be a great deck to work with.
With the 10 of Pentacles being in reverse it felt more like a flashing light to say, I'm here to help you with this, especially with The World and King of Pentacles showing up.
- What are you here to help me with? – King of Pentacles
Grounding my dreams into reality. One of the things I say often is Living Abundantly Ever After. That keeps coming up as I look at the cards in this spread. The King of Pentacles embodies success, wealth, connection, embodiment, and is the epitome of living Abundantly Ever After.
- What are your strengths? – 7 of Pentacles
This card is sooo beautiful. It shows a figure watering her pentacles from a cloud. This aligns with nurturing my goals and dreams, to embody the King of Pentacles. Like the seed planted in the world, these pentacles are growing tall like sunflowers.
- What are your limitations? – Wheel of Fortune rx
As liminal as this deck feels, I think it prefers a more grounded approach to readings. The wheel on this deck looks more like a compass. I feel it's more of a guide than giving direct outcomes. In order to “work” my gifts, choices, and actions are required. This card reminds me that to change my outcomes, I must do the work.
- What’s the best way to connect with you? – 4 of Cups
Accept what is offered. Know when to allow my emotions and intuition to guide me, and when I need to take a more grounded, logical approach. This card shows a mermaid on land, clinging to a tree while another woman brings another cup of tea.
The mermaid can't walk on land because she doesn't have legs, behind her is the water. At any time she can swim away but she chooses not too.
Also the figure continues to bring her tea, all of the cups have steam rising from them, but the tea isn't being drank. Effort and energy are being wasted here by both parties.
The best way to work with this deck is when I don't know what to do or feel lost, disconnected and unable to move forward. It can guide me through my emotions, to nourish myself, or into action so that I'm not wasting valuable time or energy.

- How do you work with other decks? – Queen of Cups
This deck will work well with other decks. I feel a lot of synergy, emotional balance and creativity.
- What readings or situations are you great at? – 6 of Wands & 9 of Swords
Success, goals, dreams, mindset, clearing confusion, overcoming fears and limitations. Exploring shadow and light. Confidence and self esteem/love. Communication with spirits.
- Which readings challenge you? – 3 of Swords
Grief, heartache, and trauma. This deck doesn't like to amplify negative energy or experiences. It prefers to find solutions and healing. If the mind isn't ready to receive the message, heal or move on, that can pose a challenge.
- How can we work together to deliver powerful readings? – 9 of Wands & King of Swords
Clear and direct messages truthfully. Helping to create clarity out of overwhelm.
- What is the highest potential of our collaboration? – The High Priestess & The Chariot
Trusting intuitive guidance, being able to move forward confidently acting on intuitive guidance.
