For a long time I've connected with women who are carrying weight they could not name. Knowing something needed to change but not knowing where to begin.
Feeling the pull toward more… more peace, more love, more clarity, more freedom… more abundance… but unable to close the gap between where they were and where they knew they were meant to be.
And one of the most common things I heard was some version of this…
“I don't know what I need. I just know I need some kind of support, something to help me.”
I understood that completely. Because I've been that woman too.
I spent a lot of time in the mirror. Looking at myself. Watching tears fall. Staring into my own eyes, trying to figure out who the hell I was.
I wasn't who I used to be, and I wasn't sure who I was…
Sometimes I didn't even recognize myself. I couldn't track how I got to such a low place, but I knew that wasn't it for me. Something was there, if I could just quiet the noise.
I was carrying so much and moving through so much that I couldn't see myself clearly anymore. I didn't know what was mine to heal, what was mine to release, or what I was truly being called toward. I just knew I was exhausted from surviving and hungry for true emotional freedom, healing and liberation from the past.
What I needed was a mirror. Something that would reflect back to me exactly where I was without judgment, shame or force, that honored where I was in the present while showing me the path ahead.
In these postpartum months, I find myself looking in the mirror again, only there's a different energy behind it. I know what's before me and where I'm trying to go.
