I can’t even begin to explain how proud I am of myself. When I started practicing Yoga in 2005, it transformed me.
Becoming a Yoga Teacher has been on my vision board and goal list for many years, and I’ve finally accomplished it while being out on maternity leave.
I learned so much and am grateful that I waited because I found an amazing program that focused on the tradition of Yogic Philosophy. One of the things I’ve witnessed since Yoga became popular is that it’s not respected.
It was important that I learn Yoga from the right people, who are able to teach from lived experience.
Initially I did want to journey to India and learn that way, but as a single mom that wasn’t going to be as easy.
Bodsphere has been phenomenal. I loved every step of the journey and will be continuing my Yoga studies with them.
This accomplishment is still soaking in.
When I passed my exam, I teared up. I made this happen.
Becoming a Yoga Teacher helped me prove to myself that I can do anything and reminded me that dreams do come true.
For now, I’m focusing on establishing and elevating my own personal practice to learn to lead classes, as well as educate others about Yoga. I won’t be teaching any formal classes just yet, but look forward to it!
Like everything else I do, I will focus on private lessons and small group classes once I’m ready to begin teaching.
This has been my greatest accomplishment of 2026!
What’s next on this journey for me? I continue practicing Yoga and going deeper with my training, planning out classes to teach. Also I intend to complete a 300 Hour Teacher Training, Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra and learning more about Pranayama, or breath work.
More learning, and doing! Living this Yoga lifestyle.
