Guess who is shopping for a new phone…That's right ME! After all my talking about how I wasn't going to get another phone. Before you call me a hypocrite, I actually have a valid reason it's time to trade in my iPhone.
So a couple of months ago I had my phone in my back pocket like always. It's a great place for a phone, except when you're in the bathroom. I heard a splash and turned to see what was going on.
It might be time for a new phone
I stood there in horror for a few seconds before grabbing my phone out the water. It was still on so that was a great sign. I immediately began to dry it off. I dropped it in a bag of rice and prayed for technological healing. I checked and my phone still worked, except the mic. After it dried out some more it was fully functional, except the speakers and mic.
It's hard to hear on my phone, well unless I use my awesome BOSE headphones! (Seriously, it's like a concert in my ears). Other than that the phone works perfectly. Lately it's getting a bit worse so I keep my headphones close by. Like if I leave them at home I will make sure I go get them. They are a necessity at this point.
Gotta have storage
The only real drawback I had was storage. 16GB is not enough for me period. I've tried many storage options, like extra iCloud storage, iKlips, and a Mophie Space pack. They definitely provided extra storage, just not as seamless as I would like.
I use my iPhone 6 for almost everything, but now since I'm without a laptop I am using it for EVERYTHING. I don't want anything snazzy, just a phone that I know works. I'd love to go back to the Note line or try Motorola's latest phone, but I've invested so much in my iPhone. Since this is more a necessity than want, I think I will stick with Apple.
My plan was to get a tablet, and upgrade my phone later, but it looks like I may have to change that.
