Have you ever looked back at a project, a hobby, or a dream and realized you’ve been hovering on the sidelines for an entire decade?
Recently, I received a notification from YouTube congratulating me on my 10-year milestone.
To be honest, I hadn’t even realized I had a channel for that long. For the past 10 years, this platform wasn’t a true priority; for me it was a video library, a place to archive the Lives and other videos I created at the time.
I never considered being intentional, putting in real energy, or creating content specifically for the YouTube community.
But receiving that notification changed something in me. It served as a powerful reminder and a permission slip: it is never too late to start now.
Whether you have a goal you haven’t fully committed to or a dream you’ve kept on the back burner, this is your sign to stop waiting for the “perfect” moment and just begin.
Reflecting on the “What Ifs” of a Decade
Looking back at ten years of organic growth is a strange feeling. On one hand, I am incredibly proud of how this channel has evolved alongside me. On the other hand, it’s hard not to ask the “what if” questions:
- What if I had been more intentional about creating videos from the start?
- What if I had treated YouTube like a social media community instead of just a storage platform?
- What if I had shared more of my personal story and my “why” earlier on?
- Where could I be in another ten years if I create the space for this channel to truly grow today?
I am deeply appreciative of everyone who has watched a video, left a comment, or chosen to subscribe over the years. You’ve been part of an organic journey, and now, I’m excited to see what happens when I actually pour my energy into this platform.
Beyond Tarot: Expanding the Vision
When I was a little girl, I dreamed of having my own talk show. That dream eventually manifested into my podcast, The Sacred Wellness Alchemy™ Show. Now, I’m rethinking how YouTube can be my version of a television channel, a place to showcase different aspects of my life, my work, and the knowledge I’ve gained over the years.
While I love Tarot and it will always be a part of my content, I want to expand the conversation. I want to dive into the why behind divination and the why behind how I use these tools in my daily life. It’s not just about the deck reviews and the readings (though those will stay!); it’s about the deeper connection to our spiritual selves.
A Season of Transition: From Spa Owner Back to My Roots as a Healer
You may have noticed a bit of a hiatus on my channel recently. Over the past year, I’ve been in “mommy mode.” In August, I made the big decision to temporarily close my physical spa to prepare for the birth of my daughter, who arrived in October. While I have cherished every moment of being a mother, I’ve realized how much I miss my work.
I miss the energy healing sessions, the bodywork, the readings, and the coaching. I miss the deep connection of holding space for others. As I prepare to return to work, I’ve decided not to open a physical space right now. Instead, I am focusing on virtual work with clients. This shift allows me to be present for my family while still serving my community in a way that feels aligned and sustainable.
Overcoming the Perfectionism Trap
One of the biggest hurdles to starting, or restarting, anything is the desire for perfection. For a long time, I judged myself for not having the “perfect” setup. I missed my old office with my beautiful tarot decks and my spa treatment rooms. I felt like I couldn’t record because my background wasn’t “Pinterest-worthy.”
Instead of letting that voice of perfectionism stop me, I decided to find a workaround. I invested in a green screen. It’s a simple solution that allows me to record anywhere without worrying about the backdrop. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.
I’ve also updated my content processes and systems to make recording effortless. I want to show up consistently and talk about things that matter, rather than letting location or aesthetics be a deterrent. I’m even planning to bring back live streams once my schedule settles, because I truly miss that real-time interaction with all of you.
The Mission: Sacred Wellness Alchemy™
My work has always been my ministry. When I talk about ministry, I’m talking about serving others and holding space. It is how I give back and support the collective. Over the years, I’ve evolved into a master spiritual life coach, a yoga teacher, and a licensed body worker. My body of work, Sacred Wellness Alchemy, has grown with me.
My goal for my presence online, including my YouTube channel is to build more than just a video archive; I want to build a community centered around growth, healing, and thriving. I want this to be a resource for people who are on a journey of reclaiming themselves, becoming who they were created to be before life dimmed their light.
Key Takeaways for Your Own Journey
- Start where you are: You don’t need the perfect office or the best gear to begin. Use what you have and grow from there.
- Acknowledge your fears: I asked myself what I was afraid of regarding YouTube, and the answer was “nothing.” Once you name your fears, they lose their power.
- Consistency over perfection: It’s better to show up authentically with a green screen than to not show up at all because your house is messy.
- Your story is medicine: There is someone out there who needs to hear your specific message and your unique wisdom. Don’t let them suffer because you’re afraid to be seen.
Moving Forward Without Fear
People often ask me if I’m afraid of being visible or dealing with “trolls” online. Honestly? I’ve been online long enough to have gone through the “cringe phase.” I’ve looked back at my old videos where I was “code-switching” or using my “corporate voice” because I thought I had to be polished. I’ve moved past that.
I have built up the confidence and trust in my why. I know why I do this work. I know the traumatic experiences I’ve survived, including domestic violence, and how blogging and video creation served as my outlet for healing. That history gives me the courage to use my intuition, energy healing, and Tarot to help other women go on their own healing journeys.
Every challenge or obstacle I face today is just a stepping stone. It’s an opportunity for me to practice what I preach in the uncomfortable moments. I refuse to let my past rob me of my future, because I know that on the other side of chaos is peace.
The Next 10 Years
I could have looked at that 10-year YouTube notification and felt like a failure because I hadn’t “made it” yet. I could have thought, “Nobody is listening, so why bother?” But instead, I choose to see it as a decade-long journey that allowed me to find my voice.
I am building a space of guidance, inspiration, and connection. Whether you are here for the Tarot, the yoga, the spiritual coaching, or just a bit of encouragement, I am so glad you are part of this community. Let’s see what we can create in the next ten years by being intentional, staying authentic, and choosing to show up, exactly as we are.
Are you ready to reclaim your light? Let’s begin this journey together.
